CARCASS Stream Entire Surgical Steel Album

Surgical Steel, the new album from reactivated British extreme metal pioneers CARCASS, can now be streamed in its entirety in this YouTube clip:

Surgical Steel will be released on September 16 in the U.K., September 13 in the rest of Europe and September 17 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The effort was produced by Colin Richardson (FEAR FACTORY, MACHINE HEAD, NAPALM DEATH, SLIPKNOT, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and mixed by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY).

Surgical Steel will be available on several collectible formats, which can now be ordered with or without an exclusive t-shirt design from the Nuclear Blast webstore.

KREATOR - Album Title, Release Date And Single Artwork Unveiled

KREATOR have set 'Phantom Antichrist' as the title for their new album, to be released June 1 in Europe and June 5 in North America via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD is currently being recorded at Fasci-
nation Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Devin Townsend, Amon Amarth). 

KREATOR will release a seven-inch single containing the 'Phantom Antichrist' title track on April 20. The collector's item will be available in colored red vinyl (limited to 250 pieces) as well as in clear vinyl (limited to 250 pieces, exclusively available at the Nuclear Blast mailorder). 


The 'Phantom Antichrist' artwork for both single and album was designed by Wes Benscoter (Black Sabbath, Dio, Slayer).  

Vocalist Mille Petrozza comments on 'Phantom Antichrist': "It's always a little hard for me to talk about music has been written but is not released yet. It will definitely have all the KREATOR trademarks. The lyrics will talk about nowadays stuff, as usual, so it will be like a photography of the year 2012. Also the lyrics will deal a lot of things that are actually happening at this point in time. It will be like reading a newspaper or something, with all the stuff happening. And, of course, the music will be typical KREATOR, and we also wanna expand the sound and progress as musicians. I mean, this line-up has been the strongest lineup KREATOR ever had since ten years, and now I think we're ready to come out with an album that blows everyone away."

GLORYFUL - Recordings For Debut Album Scheduled, New Promo Pics Reveiled

GLORYFUL - Heavy Metal From Germany

German Heavy Metal up-and-comer GLORYFUL will enter Synesthesy Studios in Wesel end of February 2012 to begin the recordings for their yet untitled debut album with engineer Darius Widera. 

The album will subsequently be mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound, Sweden. 

Gloryful, based in the German Ruhr Area and having NIGHT IN GALES guitarist Jens Basten among their ranks, have also published a series of new promo pics.

EXUMER Launch Video Trailer And Artwork Of Upcoming New Album 'Fire & Damnation'

Legendary German Thrashers EXUMER have just launched a video trailer for their long anticipated comeback album 'Fire & Damnation'. 

Watch out for 'Fire & Damnation' to be unleashed on April 6 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, April 9 in Europe and April 10 in North America via Metal Blade Records. 

'Fire & Damnation' will be released as a limited Digipak-CD including three bonus tracks as well as on vinyl. 

The album artwork has been designed by Baptiste Treton.

Check out the trailer that features music of 'Fire & Damnation' as well as the stunning front cover. The art direction and production of the clip was executed by German-born artist Cyphers-X, who has worked with bands such as The Very End in the past.

EXUMER recorded their first new album in 24 years with renowned producer Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc., Therion, Sodom, Moonspell, etc.) at the helm. The 10-track strong, hard-hitting CD 'Fire & Damnation' combines a punishing production with aggressive song writing. EXUMER manages to capture the intensity and feel of the 1980s thrash metal gems and yet sound up to date on their latest output.

'Fire & Damnation' will catapult EXUMER back in the forefront of the international music markets and the following live assaults in 2012 will only further cement the band’s cult status among the ranks of classic thrash metal acts in the world!

Formed in 1985, by singer/bassist Mem V. Stein and guitarist Ray Mensh, EXUMER went on to release two albums in 1986 (Possessed by Fire), and 1987 (Rising from the Sea), that are regarded as some of the most cult thrash metal releases ever to come out of Germany. EXUMER was also one of the first thrash metal acts to capture exotic, foreign markets like Poland and Brazil, where their albums were domestically released in the 1980s. The subsequent tours that followed those releases secured the band live shows in front of thousands of fans and an unusually large following outside of Germany.

Plagued by line-up changes and internal turmoil the band broke up in 1990, and did not perform live, with the exception in 2001 at the prestigious Wacken Open Air Festival, until 2009.

Mem and Ray decided to re-activate EXUMER in 2008, and the band embarked on their first tour since 1988, where they played 5 shows in April/May of 2009. The “5 Nights of Fire Tour”, took the band through Europe (Germany, Holland, Greece), and the USA, where they headlined the “Thrasho de Mayo Festival”, in front of 1.300 fans in Los Angeles.

EXUMER returned to Europe in spring and the fall of 2010, where the band appeared at Norway’s “Inferno Festival”, among other stops in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Poland and Bulgaria during their “European Ignition Tour Part I & II”.

EXUMER - First Album In 24 Years To Be Recorded This Summer

German thrashers EXUMER will be recording their first album release in 24 years in Dortmund/Germany over the summer. The band has recruited legendary producer Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc., Enemy of the Sun, Voodoocult, Philip Boa, Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, Tiamat, Moonspell, Therion) to produce what will be the third EXUMER album to date. The band will enter the studio in early June and remain there throughout July to complete the recording/mixing process. 

Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments:

"We basically took off from playing live for this entire year in order to concentrate solely on writing, recording and mixing this record. Waldemar was the most logical choice for us in regards to producing this very important album. We heard what he had done with the last SODOM album and we all agreed that he is capable of preserving the spirit of a 1980s thrash band but still make them sound relevant today. That is exactly what we need and envision for EXUMER. We became quite confident that we will achieve this objective after meeting with Waldemar earlier this year and trust his intuition as a producer, songwriter and musician, as well as his ability to push EXUMER's envelope when it is necessary."

EXUMER began negotiating with several labels to release their upcoming CD and will announce the album's title once a deal is closed.

AUTOMATIC SELF DESTRUCT - New Album 'Code Death Mission' To Be Released April 9, 2011

Germany's incarnation of violence AUTOMATIC SELF DESTRUCT are releasing their first full length album 'Code Death Mission' on April 9, 2011. 

Founded in 2008, AUTOMATIC SELF DESTRUCT set out to create disturbing/ violent thrash and death metal without setting any limits. Keeping true to themselves, they play whatever strikes their fancy. That way, Automatic Self Destruct is constantly influenced by hardcore and punk elements. Rather than desperately seeking originality in songwriting, the band follows the motto "punch up the bracket". Within the last two years they performed at many festivals together with Warbringer, Holy Moses, Disbelief and others. The band released the demo "We bring the Ü to America" in 2008 and the EP "Generation Violence" in 2009.

Traumtaenzer wurde im Mai 2008 von Tom O`Connell (ehemals Garden Of Delight) ins Leben gerufen mit dem Ziel tanzbare atmosphärische Musik mit anspruchsvollen deutsche Songtexte zu erschaffen. Dieses Ziel haben Traumtaenzer auf ihrem neuen Album "Der weiße Raum" gelungener maßen erreicht und präsentieren ein in sich geschlossenes Album das mit elf regulären Songs und drei Bonustracks überzeugt. Mit Tom O`Connell, Marco B. (Downscarred) als Sänger sowie Sandra S. (ehemals Le Cri Du Mort) und Eva P.
