Being nothing short of genre-defining and originally released in 1990, Spiritual Healing marked a new turn in the Death discography, one which ushered in cleaner production, a new level of boundary pushing musicianship and songwriting skills that were previously unimaginable from a metal band. Spiritual Healing sets the standard for riffs, insane time changes and of course mainman Chuck Schuldiner’s masterful guitar solos.

Now reissued via Relapse Records as a double cd housed in super deluxe packaging featuring brand new liner notes from Death players James Murphy and Terry Butler, Chuck’s sister Beth Schuldiner and Michael Poulsen (Volbeat), disc 1 features a completely new remaster of the original album and disc 2 contains 16 previously unreleased rehearsal, outtakes and studio instrumentals.

The limited edition (2000 machine numbered copies) triple cd digipak also features a never before released live set recorded in 1990 featuring the Spiritual Healing Death line up.

Spiritual Healing was re-released on November 20 in North America and will be unleashed on November 23 in Benelux, Germany and Finland, and November 26 in the rest of the world.

German Ruhr area metal act THE VERY END has made a second song from its upcoming album Turn Off The World, Iron Sky, available for streaming via SoundCloud (check widget below). 

In exchange for joining the band’s mailing list, the song can also be downloaded as a 320 kbit/s MP3.

THE VERY END vocalist Bjoern Goosses on Iron Sky: “Everyone of us has experienced some kinds of limits, boundaries, fences and wires. Imagine a rusty shell above your head instead of a blue sky. FALLEN FATE - Artwork For Upcoming Album Into The Black Revealed

FALLEN FATE have revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming second album, Into The Black. The follow-up to the 2011 debut The Virus Has Spread is scheduled for a digital release in spring 2013.

The Modern Metal band from the UK has teamed up with Pledge Music to fund the new album. Pledgers will receive a digital album copy prior to the official release, and various bonus items are also available at the band’s Pledge Music Page.
