Ruhr Area thrashers DIPSOMANIA (feat. EXUMER / CROSSPLANE drummer and House of Drums owner, Matthias Kassner) gonna celebrate their 25th anniversary at a show in their hometown of Dorsten, Germany tonight.

Support comes from grindcore old hands PROVOCATION, who’ll play their one and only show in 2013 on the occasion of their mates anniversary, and CAGE.

The entire show’s gonna be multi-tracked to be made available for streaming later on.

"2011 was an incredible year for us! We finally recorded our third album, in the classic "Mem V. Stein/Ray Mensch" line-up of the "Possessed by Fire" days.  

We signed a worldwide record deal with Metal Blade Records and are set to release "Fire & Damnation" next year.  

I can only imagine what 2012 will bring for EXUMER, but you can be sure that we will play as many live shows all over the world as our schedules allow it.  

However, none of this would have been possible without our families, friends and fans - and for this I would like to thank you from all of us and wish you a healthy, successful and fun 2012! C u on tour..."

1. V-Drum Contest am Freitag, den 07.10.2011 

Kommt zu unserem V-Drums Casting Day und spielt ein max. 5 minütiges Drumsolo auf dem Roland TD-20KX Set. Deine Performance wird auf Video aufgezeichnet und von unserer Jury anhand der Spieltechnik, Musikalität / Groove, Kreativität, die Ausschöpfung der Möglichkeiten der V-Drums - aber auch aufgrund des Showeffekts - bewertet.

2. HOUSE OF DRUMS SCHOOL 

Ab Anfang 2012 werden wir auch regelmäßigen Schlagzeugunterricht anbieten. Darüber hinaus gibt es Workshops, Clinics, Masterclasses, Gruppenunterricht und noch mehr... 

Starten werden wir ab Freitag, den 21.10.2011 mit einer Workshopreihe von und mit dem Buchautor (Drum Fitness I + II) und Drummer Frank Mellies:

3. Jetzt wird es schöner, auch bei den E-Drums...

Das heißt, wir renovieren ab Ende September die E-Drum Abteilung und bauen die Räume für unsere HOUSE OF DRUMS SCHOOL aus. Etwas Platz dafür kommt uns entgegen - profitiert vom „Umbau-Aktions-RABATT“ bei den E-Drums. Also ab sofort die E-Drums abräumen, aber nur bis zum 30. September 2011 - und wenn weg, dann weg!


4. Drumbassadors Drumclinic

Die Show findet am 16. November 2011 in der Matrix in Bochum statt und wird präsentiert vom HOUSE OF DRUMS. Einlass wird voraussichtlich um 19.30 Uhr sein, starten wird das Ganze dann um 20.00 Uhr. Der Eintrittspreis liegt bei 13,- Euro an der Abendkasse und 10,- € im Vorverkauf.

DEUS INVERSUS - Video Live Clip und Interview online auf HMHTV

"Eigentlich kannte ich DEUS INVERSUS gar nicht. Es war der erste Festival Tag vom Death Feast 2011. Es regnete, es war kalt und die Stimmung im grauen Licht und dem matschigen Boden erinnerte irgendwie an einen Endzeitfilm. Da stand dieser Typ -Dmitriy- auf der Bühne. Er rauchte und fragte die Leute vor der Bühne, ob sie bereit wären für seine Show. Mit den Worten "dann nehme ich mein Gewehr" schnappte er sich seinen Bass und dann ging es los mit Klängen, die an alte Morbid Angel erinnerten. Mit so was hatte ich auf dem Death Feast echt nicht gerechnet. Hier ist man ja eher ultra brutale oder verstörende Klänge gewohnt, aber bei Deus Inversus war authenthischer Old School Death Metal angesagt. Vielleicht sieht Dmitriy seine Musik anders, aber ich habe mich auf angenehme Weise an frühen 90er Death Metal erinnert gefühlt. Eindrucksvoll haben Deus Inversus bewiesen, dass sie ihre Instrumente bestens beherrschen. Grund genug Dmitriy nach der Show mal für ein Interview zu schnappen.

Und was soll ich sagen? Dmitriy hat echt interessante Geschichten auf Lager. Ich als in Freiheit aufgewachsener Mensch kann mir echt nicht vorstellen, wie es "damals" (frühe 90er) in Russland abging. Seht und hört selbst."

Basic rules: 
- Simply enlist at the House of Drums booth on the DFOA festivalground.
- Please notice only a limited number of contestants can show their speed skills: first come, first drum!
- The contest is split in two categories: "Fastest Snare" and "Fastest Double Bass"
- Throughout the whole festival multiple rounds take place, while one rounds lasts one minute. The contestant´s hits/kicks will be measured by an electronic control device.
- Each day will have a daily champion for both categories, hence 3 daily champions of each category will take part in the finals and the award ceremony on saturday.

Seit Anfang Januar gehört das 'House of Drums' in Bochum nicht mehr zur Beyer’s Music GmbH. Der ehemalige Filialleiter Matthias Kassner hat den Schlagzeugladen als neuer Inhaber zusammen mit Michael Hahneke übernommen.  

“Ich möchte mich somit für die gute Zusammenarbeit in den letzten fünf Jahren und das entgegengebrachte Vertrauen als Angestellter und im Namen der Firma Beyer’s Music bedanken“, sagte Kassner. Sein neuer Kollege Hahneke war zuvor bei Sonor als Verkaufsleiter für den Bereich Deutschland tätig. Er bleibt jedoch als stiller Teilhaber im Hintergrund. Daher werden wir ab jetzt mit dem bekannten Team Dirk, Marco und Tim - und neuer Motivation - für Furore sorgen“, so Kassner.
